First Ever Turkish Wind Turbine Manufacturer Commences Operations

Being in the renewable market for many years, Soytes Clean Energy and Electrotechnics Industry Co. Inc.- a member of AWEA and a subsidiary of Soyut Holdings Company/TURKEY - manufactured a prototype of 250 kW wind turbine in Turkey. This product has been recorded as the first one of its kind that has been wholy manufactured within Turkey. The 250 kW wind mill is comprised of steel conic tower of 50 meters height and fiberglass blades of 22 meters length.

With the enactment of Renewable Energy Law and the establishment of regulatory bodies in Turkey, the country strives to be one of the most promising markets in the world. Currently being an energy corridor between oil and gas rich Middle East / Central Asia and demanding economies of West, Turkey is now playing a pivotal role in energy politics of the region. As being the only manufacturer and one of the major players in wind energy in the country, Soytes is now working to satisfy demands not only from Turkey but also from the surrounding region including Bulgaria, Greece and Azerbaijan.

It has been reported that the company is now open to negotiations with wind turbine and relevant equipment manufacturers all over the world to evaluate and fully utilize the 2000 MW capacity in Turkey. The pertaining licenses have been secured from Turkish government for this 2000 MW capacity and they are available for seperate projects within Turkey. Having the required experience and facilities Soytes wants to contact and to partner with wind turbine and related equipment (blade, tower, generator, etc.) manufacturers to introduce their products into the emerging Turkish market. The company is ready for any kind of collaboration both directly marketing their partner's products to end-users and also co-manufacturing and assembling some parts in Turkey where many foreign companies enjoy lower labor costs and inexpensive raw materials.
